Boutique beauty and lifestyle communications firm, RED PR, wins three major industry awards including PR News’ Top Women in PR, Bulldog Reporter’s Gold Award for Boutique Agency of the Year in a Specialty Practice, and PR News Agency Elite Award for Firm Promotion.
This is the second time RED’s founder and president, Julia Labaton, has been honored with a Top Women in PR Award from PR News. At the awards ceremony, when asked for career advice she’d give her 20-year old self, Labaton said, “Don’t be afraid to ask to be involved. Your job is not simply to do the task you’ve been assigned, thoroughly and thoughtfully; it’s to contribute to your organization as a whole. Ask how you can help your colleagues with their work. By making other people’s jobs easier, you build your value, strengthen your relationships and create new opportunities to learn.”
In addition to servicing clients and managing the agency’s growth, Labaton serves on the board of directors for PR Boutiques International.
Founded in 2000, the firm has earned a strong reputation in the beauty industry for award-winning strategic campaigns and long-term client relationships. The New York Observer has twice recognized RED PR as one of the top five specialty firms in the beauty vertical. General Manager of the thriving new brand Good Dye Young, Erik Hoover, says, “RED is a fantastic agency that provides amazing results! I wouldn’t work with anyone else!”
RED PR’s clients range from local businesses to global manufacturers and have included ABBA haircare, CND, Fendi Fragrance, Gelish, MB45 Studio, MOP haircare, 3Lab Skincare, Morgan Taylor Lacquer, Ouidad – The Curl Experts, Preciosa Crystal, and Zotos.
