Annual Membership Conference Will Focus on Reinvention in P.R.
(Portland, OR) PR Boutiques International™ (PRBI), the worldwide collaborative network of boutique PR firms, will hold its annual conference in Portland, Oregon June 18-21 at the Hotel Modera. PRBI now includes 31 member agencies in Asia, Europe, North America, and South America.
PR experts from across the world will gather to discuss “Reinvention”—the theme for PRBI’s 2014 membership conference—and how PR agencies and owners must evolve over the next decade.
The conference will focus on the revolution going on in content creation, and how to get on the ground floor with clients as their communication and business strategists. Guest speakers will include:
· USC Annenberg’s Professor of Professional Practice & Director of PR Studies Jerry Swerling, named PR Person of the year in 2000.
· Indra Gardner Bowers, Founder and Chief Influence Officer at i.d.e.a. of San Diego will speak on, “Transforming Your Agency: How Change Inspires Creativity.”
· Ekaterina Walter, Author of the bestseller “Think Like Zuck: The Five Business Secrets of Facebook’s Improbably Brilliant CEO Mark Zuckerberg” will discuss social media bridge building.
· A discussion about working with bloggers will be led by Adrienne Arieff, director at the award- winning consumer PR firm Arieff Communications.
· Kellie Leonard, VP of Corporate & Employee Communications at Nike will discuss Nike’s PR best practices.Participants will also engage in the vibrancy of the Pacific Northwest. Trips to Powell’s Books, The Bridgeport Brewery, a Hidden Portland Tour, and a visit to Portland Farmers Market at Portland State University are among the many scheduled events designed to give participants a taste of what Portland has to offer.
