MSR Communications, a boutique public relations and social marketing firm that offers award-winning communications management services to technology, B2B and consumer lifestyle companies, today announced three big wins in the first half of 2018. The female-owned firm has been selected as the Agency of Record for Infoworks, a Bay-Area provider of automated, end-to-end agile data engineering solutions. MSR has also been awarded two coveted acknowledgements in Q2: a coveted Hermes Creative Award for work on behalf of longstanding client CPP, Inc., the Myers-Briggs Company; and a Communitas Award signifying exemplary community service in San Francisco.
This momentum comes on the heels of three previous MarCom award wins for the agency’s excellence in communications, PR and marketing. “2018 continues to be a momentous year for MSR Communications,” said Mary Shank Rockman, MSR Principal and CEO. “These new business wins and awards are a true testament to the talented, creative and hardworking team at MSR.”
Infoworks has engaged MSR to develop a media and analyst relations program that will generate broad awareness for the leading provider of agile data engineering software platforms. Todd Goldman, VP of Marketing for Infoworks, had prior experience working with the MSR team during his previous post at Waterline Data. “After the MSR team generated excellent coverage and awareness for my previous company, I wanted to bring the same kind of great results to Infoworks. I am looking forward to continued collaboration with MSR,” said Goldman.
The Awards
MSR won a Hermes Creative Award in the “Strategic Communications Campaign” category as the result of a communications campaign initiated on behalf of the agency’s longstanding client CPP, Inc., the Myers-Briggs Company. The objective of the campaign was to both define and defend the company’s flagship product, the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) personality assessment. MSR took stock of available assets, including research based on the MBTI, deep academic expertise, and the various media opportunities that existed to insert CPP into hot discussions related to its core competencies, place articles emphasizing the scientific basis of the MBTI, publicize the MBTI-based research from CPP, and emphasize how MBTI insights can be applied. This netted coverage from numerous outlets such as Bustle, Training Magazine, and Recruiter.com, among others.
MSR was also awarded a Communitas Award for dedicating many hours to volunteering at San Francisco’s GLIDE, where the PR team has helped feed over 700 underserved community members for the past 12 years. The “Excellence in Community Service” award recognizes exceptional businesses, organizations and individuals that are unselfishly giving of themselves and their resources to benefit their communities.
