Encanto PR in Milan reports that according to the latest Census report on the social media situation in Italy, published on 4 December, the number of Italians using social media is ever-increasing. Starting from the data contained in the chapter about communication and media, DataMediaHub created a series of graphs specifically concerning the penetration of the main social networks in Italy.

Overall, the site says double-figure growth is recorded, with Facebook in the indisputable position of the most frequently used social network, used by 50.3% of Italians (44.3% in 2013).  Second in line is YouTube, used by 42% of Italians (38.7% in 2013) and Twitter, used by 10% of the population — although the microblogging site shows very limited growth compared to the other social networks. Instagram users double in number, from 4.3% in 2013 to 9.8% in 2015. LinkedIn is also growing, reaching 5% of Italians.
